Objectives:
Is to improve the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of asset confiscation in Europe, through the applying of effective civil control of the asset recovery office’s performance and to improve cooperation between authorities at EU level.

Activities:

  • Perform in depth assessment of legal, institutional and policy practices of asset confiscation with focus on effectiveness and integrity
  • Elaboration of the methodology for civic monitoring over the activities of asset recovery offices
  • Identified loopholes in current legislation and provide recommendations
  • Transfer of know-how at regional level and EU level with view to strengthening the asset recovery offices practice and improving their cooperation.
