Launched reports in May

First edition of Global Data Barometer was launched in May. Global Data Barometer is a complex report that analyses information about open data from 109 countries, having 4 main pillars:

  1. Governance - analysis of existing public policies capable of generating a reliable public data ecosystem.
  2. Capabilities - identifying the capacity of governments, civil society and the private sector to collect, manage, share and use open data
  3. Availability - evaluation of availability and openness, as well as the characteristics of public data sets
  4. Use and impact - the extent to which data is used to provide social goods, to meet major challenges, risk management

Transparency International was a thematic partner in the elaboration of this report, thus Transparency International Romania was also co-opted, for expertise at national level.

Transparency International Romania was also part of the elaboration team of a report launched in May too. The report is the outcome of a global initiative of Transparency International. The report On your Marks, Set… Stop!: Understanding and Ending Sextortion in Sport, was launched in an online conference, on 25 Mat 2022. The information analysed includes cases from Germany, Mexico, Romania and Zimbabwe. The report contains a number of recommendations for sports organizations, as well as for governments and civil society.
