Integrity and transparency in local administration

a) Project aim:

The project aims to raise the level of transparency and integrity of the local administration in 12 municipalities and townships in Romania, by setting up local integrity groups who militate for the improvement of specific practices within the local administration.

b) Project outcomes (corresponding to the activities involving TI Romania):

→ Periodical evaluations of the level of integrity and transparency in local administrations;
→ Formulating and implementing action plans by local integrity groups.

c) TI Romania's role in the project:

TI Romania formulates the methodology used to evaluate the level of integrity and transparency in local administrations, participates in training sessions for local integrity group coordinators, evaluates the local and general level of integrity and transparency.

d) Budget:

6,000 euros (Stage I, TI – Romania)

e) Project donors:

MATRA Program, through the Dutch foundation transFORMA, in partnership with Pro Democracy Association.
