Transparency International Romania, in partnership with The Romanian Magistrates Association (AMR), are pleased to anounce the launch of the project “Enhancing the enforcement role of Romanian Courts in state aid matters”.
The project’s goal is to enhance the capacity of the Romanian courts to ensure a coherent and consistent application of the European competition rules, with a special focus on state aid. To this end, will be delivered tailored trainings to 100 national judges, with a special focus regarding the state aid, in the context of its modernization exercise and national courts consolidation.
The training sessions will be delivered as fallowing:
- Training sessions dedicated to courtsworking with commercial cases (Tribunals and Courts of Appeal) related to the private application of the competition law and state aid regulations
- Training sessions dedicated to courts working with administrative matters related to the administrative documents issued by the National Competition Authority (Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court)
Moreover, it will be promoted the cooperation among national judges and other EU judges, by organizing an international colloquia. All the participants will have the opportunity of networking and good practice exchange regarding European legislation on competition law. All those activities will bring contribution to foster a common judicial culture in competition law.
The implementation period of the project: January - December 2018
The project “Enhancing the enforcement role of Romanian Courts in state aid matters” is financed by the European Comision, the Competition Directorate General, within the grant program Training of National Judges in EU Competition Law.
