Course on state aid in Timișoara
Between May 9 and 10 2019, Transparency International Romania organized a course session in Timisoara named ”State aid, in the context of updating the rules on granting state aid, as well as strengthening the role of national courts”.
During two days, were debated topics such as:
Control of state aid in the EU
The role of national courts in state aid matters
The application of European and national competition rules to the business sector.
Participants also discussed case studies and solved practical exercises on state aid.
The training is carried out in two stages, meaning in the classroom, during two consecutive days of training, as well as through an online platform, where another 25 hours of training are available.
The sessions take place within the project "Strengthening the role of Romanian courts in the application of state aid legislation", funded by the European Union through the European Commission - Directorate General for Competition. The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of the Romanian judicial system to apply the European policies in the field of state aid law.
