In the series of events in the Constitutional Forum, Transparency International Romania organized the debate on the revision of the Romanian Constitution, Chapter "Judicial Authority", which includes two events as follows:
The first event took place on April 12, 2013, starting at 10:00, at the Parliament Palace and aimed at establishing the proposals to amend the Constitution, Chapter "Judicial Authority", and the second will take place on 26 April 2013, aiming at adopting the proposed amendments and their theoretical foundation.
In this respect, for the first event, the proposals submitted by the National Union of Judges, the Romanian Prosecutors 'Association, the Romanian Magistrates' Association, the Bucharest Bar were centralized. Their centralization was the starting point of the discussions in the consultative conference, the results of which will be submitted to the Commission for the Revision of the Constitution of the Romanian Parliament.
Thus, the proposals received on Title III "Public Authorities" - Chapter VI "Judicial Authority", as well as those related to other articles adjoining the Constitution (art.1 paragraph (5), art.21 paragraph (3), art. Article 23 (3) and (4), Article 27 (3), Article 28, Article 52 (3), Article 72 (2) and paragraph (3)).
Subsequently, proposals from local professionals will be received and integrated to be discussed at the next event.
