Transparency International Romania is in the process of implementing the project "Increasing the Capacity of Civil Society
to promote public integrity in the local public administration PHARE / 2005 / 017-553.01.02 / 02/32 "financed
by the European Union through the PHARE Program 2005. The project aims to increase confidence in the warning tool
integrity, introduced by Law no. 571/2004, and the attention of civil society members to warning cases. it
addresses civil society organizations, staff from local public authorities and institutions, professional associations,
trade unions and local media. It is run by Transparency International Romania in partnership with the Foundation
CONCEPT and a number of 8 local non-governmental organizations that ensure the territorial implementation of the project
(one for each development region of Romania).
We are currently proposing a series of training sessions at the local level, two in each development region.
For the Bucharest-Ilfov region, the first will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 and is dedicated to representatives of associations
trade unions, local NGOs and the press, and the other will take place on Thursday, August 28, 2008 and is
staffing within public institutions and authorities in the territory. Sessions start at 09:30, at the headquarters
Transparency International Romania (21 Nicolae Balcescu Boulevard, 2nd Floor, Sector 1, Bucharest). Participating in the event
is free. We therefore invite all NGOs or public institutions interested in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region to participate in
this event.
