Are EU Governments taking Whistleblower Protection Seriously?

- Progress Report on the transposition of the EU Directive-

Transparency International and the Whistleblowing International Network launch Wednesday, 24 March 2021, the Progress Report on the transposition by the Member-states of the EU Directive regarding the Whistleblower Protection.

As part of the Directive's drafting team and a strong international voice, Transparency International has researched the process and progress of transposing the Directive into national law in the 27 Member-states of the European Union.

Now, nine months before the deadline for transposition, TI presents best practices, as well as key recommendations to help states have a successful project and respect the date for harmonizing national legislation with the EU Directive.

Transparency International Romania participated in the preparation of the Progress Report by periodically transmitting data on the state of government works regarding the transposition of the Directive 2019/1937 into Romanian legislation.

The launch conference of the Progress Report will take place on Zoom, on 24 March 2021, 2021, from 11:00 CET, 12:00 in Romania.
