We are beginning the implementation of the project “Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment”.

Transparency International Romania is implementing the project “Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment” from August 2022 to September 2023, under SIPOCA 947/MySMIS 151484.

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of a minimum of 40 non-governmental organizations and social partners to engage in the preparation and promotion of local development. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of mechanisms and procedures for interaction with local public authorities, as well as specialized training and networking.

To achieve the general objective of the project, Transparency International Romania will carry out various activities, including the development and implementation of a local consultation mechanism, consultations with stakeholders through workshop organization, and the implementation of three types of professional training courses and networking activities.

The Municipality of Aiud is the main area where the project will be implemented, based on a partnership established between Transparency International Romania and the Aiud Municipality. By extension, the core group of the project consists of representatives of non-governmental organizations and social partners from the Central development region.

At the end of the “Dialogue and Engagement for Sustainable Local Development” project, the following results are expected:

• A local consultation mechanism named the Consultative Group for Local Development (CDL), developed within the project and implemented in partnership with the Aiud Municipality.
• A minimum of 80 representatives of NGOs and social partners certified at the end of training sessions.
• Two procedures for the interaction of NGOs with local public authorities, developed.
• A guide as an instrument for monitoring and independently evaluating policies and strategies at the local level.

Total project value: 424,197.11 lei, of which 415,713.18 lei is total non-refundable funds.

The “Sustainable Local Development through Dialogue and Commitment” project is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Operational Programme Administrative Capacity 2014-2020.
